About Us

The purpose of the Mendoza Expats Club is to bring together the international business community in the Cuyo region and provide a venue for non-Argentine executives, entrepreneurs and investors to meet, share information and coordinate business activities.

The Club was founded in September of 2005 by Carl Emberson (General Manager, Park Hyatt Mendoza) and David English (President, English & Associates) with the assistance of Deborah Monteith (District Manager, Australian Trade Commission). As of January 2010, it has grown to nearly 100 active members, and the mailing list has increased to nearly 300 expat professionals living and working in the Cuyo region.

Our current President is Duffy Crane (Chief Operating Officer, The Vines of Mendoza).

There are three events that the Club organizes during 2010:

1. Luncheons at a local hotel or expat-owned business the last Friday of most months

2. Luncheons at the winery, restaurant, hotel, or residence of a Club member the second or third Saturday of a particular month (two or three times per year)

3. Happy Hour at Anna Bistro the second Friday of every month

Membership is open to men and women of all nationalities, except Argentine, who are actively doing business in Mendoza, San Juan or San Luis. One does not have to be a resident of Mendoza to participate. Please click here for a membership application.
